Teaching Artist

UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum seeks artists to facilitate our outreach learning program to youth in the community. Teaching artists will co-teach once a week over the span of eight weeks. Teaching artist will work with a community arts instructor in a community space with students ages 9 to 15. Artists must exhibit creativity and positivity in all interactions with students and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to demo 3D techniques to young audiences

  • Ability to handle multiple activities and projects simultaneously

  • Ability to collaborate with co-teacher to enhance curriculum

  • Experience and interest in youth programming

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for education events

Community Arts Instructor

 UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum seeks community arts instructors to facilitate our outreach learning programs to youth in the Austin community. Community art instructors will implement project-based studio curriculum for afterschool programs. You will co-teach once a week over the span of eight weeks. Community Arts Instructor will work with a teaching artist to team teach in a community space with students ages 9 to 15. You must demonstrate creativity and positivity in all interactions with students and colleagues.

  • Ability to teach 3D techniques to young audiences

  • Ability to collaborate with co-teacher to enhance curriculum
