Little is needed to amplify this already beautiful space. With five acres of bronze and stone sculptures, winding pathways, tranquil ponds and a gently babbling brook, the UMLAUF is a hidden gem in the heart of Austin. Let the Garden be your open palette while highlighting the beauty of Central Texas and supporting a beloved Austin institution.

Intimate and elegant, the Garden can accommodate anywhere from 20 to 250 guests for a seated dinner, however, the gardens can accommodate groups of up to 600 for a reception.

Rental Time Frame

The rental includes 8 hours. The listed times include set-up, event and clean-up. Tenting and lighting may be installed the morning of your event, based on availability. Inquire for a detailed timeline.

Planning Services

The Museum does not provide planning, set-up or teardown services. Although not required, it is recommended all events consider engaging a planner to assist with set-up/teardown, staffing, catering and rental equipment.

Vendors, Equipment & Other Event Needs

The UMLAUF is a blank palette for all events and the curated list of preferred vendors ensures that each and every desire can be met. A limited selection of equipment is available; however, it is recommended to work with one of the preferred vendors for further event needs. The most common vendors events will utilize are caterers, rental companies, florists, bands/DJ’s and valet. It is encouraged to work with a preferred partner, as this makes coordinating events a breeze.

Staffing

Rental rates include UMLAUF staffing for each event. A security guard will assist guests from the overflow parking lot to the Museum and ensure the event is safe, seamless and secure. An UMLAUF event staff member will orient guests and vendors, as well as assist with maintaining the Museum, Garden and artwork. Events with more than 250 guests will require additional staffing at $250 per staff member.

Payments

To complete the contract process, a refundable deposit of $1000 is due within 3 days of signing. The deposit is in addition to the rental rate. It is refunded 30 days after the event, less any damages, extra staffing, clean-up or credit card fees. The remaining rental fee is due 90 days prior to the event. All transactions may be made via check or through paypal. Credit card transactions are subject to a 3% transaction fee that will be automatically removed from the deposit return.

Art & Exhibits

The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum has rotating exhibits that are subject to change without notification. Art works and exhibits cannot be moved, removed, covered, altered or added to for any events. The gallery is not included as a part of the event rental and will remain locked during the event.
